Redesign for a website for a client that develops, produces, and distributes stationary and dynamic shelving and racking systems.
Our client META had some challenges with their website. Our goal was to redesign it so it would be more modern, stand out from their competitors and offer the different META branches a certain possibility to adapt their landing pages to their needs.
The problem
Our client recognized that several competitors had recently modernized their brands and websites. In response, META aimed to enhance its appearance to elevate its market position as a more premium brand while emphasizing its core values.
Additionally, given the diversity among its various branches—each with its own unique focus—there was a clear need to develop distinct landing pages. These pages would not only align with META's overarching brand identity but also offer the flexibility to cater to the specific needs of each branch.
The goals
Make a website with the new branding that is more modern and with a better user experience.
Offer the possibility of adapting each landing page of the different META branches to the needs of each country and their clients.
The solution
A team member at THE ARC redesigned META’s brand. Keeping its core but refreshing it a bit and making it more modern and elegant, as part of our first collaboration with META. Then the Experience Team took over and we conceived and design a website aligned with the redesign and developed it in a way in which META could build new pages easily with the new CMS or adapt the existing ones for their specific needs.

UI Design
For the new META website, we embraced a design that prioritizes simplicity, projecting a sense of quality and elegance.
Our goal was to craft a user interface that not only resonates with trustworthiness but also captivates our users.
The website is designed with clarity and a balanced visual hierarchy, guiding users seamlessly through various flows and potential use cases.
Interviews with international META employees
THE USERS
4 users
We spoke with 4 different META employees from different international branches to find out more about their specific needs and challenges, when interacting with the current CMS of the META website and to collect their wishes for the new redesign.
THE INSIGHTS
What didn’t work
The different branch managers had no access to the CMS so far and weren’t able to adapt their landing pages or make any corrections directly.
As all the branch websites were based on the German one, some of the content didn’t make sense for their Lands and customers.
What worked
Most of the branches were in contact with the German headquarters via email whenever they needed to make adjustments or corrections to their own landing pages and this communication seemed to work pretty well.
Some of the branches found workarounds for sharing their own content with potential clients.
User ideas
They wished for a better internet presence, the implementation of Google Ads to enable this and also good references and a porfolio with previous and current cases to have a better credibility.
Being able to change the texts, make corrections and share their specific projects, news or references on a website specific to their country
TAKEAWAYS
TAKEAWAYS
This was a challenging project, as there were many stakeholders involved and also we were involved in many different stages and processes.
It was very interesting to find out more about the specific needs of each branch and which workarounds they had found to approach them.
Everyone was very open for collaborating and finding the best solution together.
